Unfortunately, we see that these people do not understand the specific meaning of such word. Why? The answer is simple. They say, that fact is a true. But what is true? True cannot be a lie or fiction. Correspondingly, if a person creates some fiction or fantasy, he or she lies.
But why people lie? This is because: 1) He or she needs to tell lie for some reason (because it is dictated by logic, goals and tricky ideas) 2) such person likes to imagine, think about unreal things and live in the world of his or her own fantasies. In the first situation we have a deliberate concealment of the truth. But in the second situation, he or she does not notice the facts unconsciously, because such people want to play and indulge with their fantasy.
Consequently, there is an automatic ignoring of facts and deepening of person into his inner world of thoughts and fantasies happens. Therefore such people cannot work with facts and are not reliable carriers of the facts. This is because they prefer to work with the things that are opposite to facts. That means that they prefer to live in their inner world.

The nature gave us sensory organs, that have a function to collect the facts from the environment. In the first line of it, we would mention the eyesight. In addition to eyes, each human collects the information with a help of hearing, smell, touch and taste. It is these organs that are responsible for collecting the facts. At the same time, the fantasies and subsequent analysis cannot be the original true fact. What is a fact, according to Wikipedia? They say, that each fact needs a check. What kind of check and experiment? Standard reference books? But this sounds a bit strange.
Why do we need experiments to check the facts?
Those people, who came up with this, do no pay attention to the facts in reality and do not trust people who tend to see and notice the facts more often and collect them.
Thus we know, that fiction and fantasy are the opposite of fact. The sense organs collect facts from reality and that is their job. But people who live in the world of conjecture and fantasy prefer their thinking over facts. After all, a fact is everything that surrounds us. Therefore, a fact is a thing or phenomenon that is obvious to everyone.
